Fluke and Luigi's Mansion

So I went to Fluke last weekend and did very well. Plenty of people picked up a copy of Cro Maximus, and I sold my last hard copies of Dynamo Guns. However anyone who wants to get a copy can still pick them up the first four issues from Comixpress here. And the first issue of Cro Maximus is also available here

Pick up your copy today.

Also during Fluke I did a couple of sketches when no one was around for me to sell to. The first was a Dynamo Guns/Cro Maximus Crossover

The second one was a little fan art for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

And I liked it so much I colorized it.

I've considered making up some prints for next years Fluke, along with some other pieces. Any suggestions?

Dynamo Guns Comics

I just want to let everyone who follow my blog and not my webcomic, My book is available for sale at comixpress

LINK:

Johnny Mage

A while back, a High school friend commissioned me to do a poster for his magic act. He gave me a few vague instructions and let me loose on it.
He said he liked it so much he wants to commission me to draw a whole comic based on the his act. Something about vampires and dark magic, I don't have a lot of the details of the story at the moment.

4 months away...

This is why I didn't want to get a blog. I have enough of a life to have trouble finding time to post, but not enough of one to have anything to post when I do. On the up side I have been working on some stuff.

First off: The Road to Damascus.
A story I was inspired to do about the Apostle Paul. I could make a series out of it, but I'm not sure if it would sell. I'm only doing this one because it just feels right. If God wants to do more I will. Until then... I don't know.

Second: The yet untitled Howard Finster Project.
Over the summer, I've been working at Howard Finster's Paradise Garden. For those who don't know, Howard Finster is the father of American Contemperary Religious Folk Art who lived in my home town and built an amazing park(Paradise Gardens, 80 Knox St. Summerville GA, open thurs-sat 12-5 weather permiting, non-profit) but sadly passed in 2001 before I could meet him (bummer). But the current owner of his estate has asked me to do a comic about the garden. I haven't come up with anything yet.

Finally: I can't wait to go back to SCAD.
I miss SCAD. I miss my friends. I miss Atlanta. I even miss my classes (some of them at least). Just one more month to go.

I'm Batman: part 5 (sigh)

Well it was a good run, but sadly Dark Knight's 4-weeks at number one has been brought down by the star-studded action comedy extravaganza that was Tropic Thunder. I cant really think of the best way to illustrate this.

In other news, I haven't able to get much work done because of my summer job at McD's. Hopefully, I'll plenty of stuff to post once I'm back at school.

I'm Batman: part 4

Gotham's Finest does it again, this time it's against the Green Hornet... Ok, it was Seth Rogen in Pineapple Express, but he's writing and starring in the Green Hornet.

So anywho, Friday August 8: Pineapple Express appeared to take #1. Ending Dark Knight's impressive streak.
Saturday, August 9: Dark Knight took in some crazy numbers returning its to former glory.

Allow me to illustrate:

I'm Batman: part 3

Anywho, Dark Knight Broke Spider-man 3's record for best box office weekend of all time. To commemorate that with the following:
Before any Spider-man fans get bent out of shape. I'm simply illustrating a statistic I found on the internet (by drawing Batman Kicking Spidey in the Parker family jewels).

I'm Batman: part 2 (Wow)

So, Dark Knight. Awesome. Few movies have rendered me speechless, and this is one of them. Heath Ledger was scary crazy perfect as Joker. Sorry, Jackie boy, you have been knocked from you stoop. (I wonder if "see a better Joker" was on his Bucket List?). And Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. Brillant.

I want to bring up one more amazing about this Movie. WATCHMEN TEASER!!! (I'd throw up a video, but you should have already seen it, because you should have already seen Dark Knight)

BATMAN
Yeah, that's right Midnight release of DARK KNIGHT. I highly doubt that the people in my tiny local theater will sell out in the next couple of days, but I wanted to have my bases covered.
